2023 snowflake challenge #4 + #5

Challenge #4: Add something to your fandom’s canon.
the newest hunter × hunter chapters came in with one of the best villain origin stories of all time (baby phantom troupe!) and gave me so much uvogin characterization, but i would have wanted a deeper exploration of how each of the kid!members met and formed their respective groups, before coming together officially forming what would become the phantom troupe. however, i write this specifically with uvogin and machi in mind, because what an interesting (and honestly adorable) dynamic they've got! how did they meet? considering the age gap between them, with machi looking to be the youngest of the founding members, and uvogin most likely in his mid to late teens, has the latter been looking after machi since she was a toddler? i just have the desire to know what they've been up to as a pair before they properly became friends with the rest, is all.

(in retrospect, knowing what we know now, it would also be nice to have seen more of the relationship between machi and uvo as adults; has their dynamic worn out through the years or what?)

Challenge #5: Tell us about 3 creative/fannish resources, spaces, or communities you use or enjoy.

• the flight rising game database - a fantastic all-around resource for the game, but especially when you fight in the coliseum a lot and need an overview of the drops. other users can comment pertinent information on pages, and they've proven to be incredibly helpful— yay community!
• vimm's lair - my personal go-to website to get games from, with the only caveat being pretty slow downloading times. a bonus recommendation would be the emulation general wiki, which is where i find quality emulators and keep up-to-date on emulation-related news.
• the puyo puyo website archive - as someone who grew up with the puyo puyo site (and in general, as someone who holds flash and archival close to their heart), this tumblr blog is a good archive and walk down memory lane for me. and while we're at it, the puyo nexus wiki hosts galleries of puyo puyo character art.
